Why I'm starting 'How Marketers AI'
I’m Gary Lim, a senior marketing manager from Singapore.
Like many of you, I’ve spent the last year and a half watching AI go from “interesting demo” to “wait, this could genuinely change how I work” faster than I could keep up with.
Every week there’s a new model, a new tool, a new way of doing things. It’s exciting. It’s also exhausting, and if I’m being honest, sometimes anxiety-inducing. Am I adapting fast enough? Am I using this right? Is everyone else figuring this out faster than me?
These past months I’ve been watching other marketers in our region quietly figure out ways to use AI that actually work—and I realised nobody’s really documenting it.
Everyone on LinkedIn is posting about their amazing AI workflows, but when I talk to people one-on-one, we’re all just... figuring it out. Nobody really knows if what they’re doing is good or if we’re all just making it up as we go.
So that’s what How Marketers AI is: marketers sharing how they’re really using AI, what’s actually working, and what the hype is missing.
Not “10 prompts that will transform your workflow”, “How I 10x’d my content output in 30 days”, or anything so performative like that—just honest thoughts and conversations about what’s changing in our work.
Each edition, I’ll publishing real insights on what’s shifting, and ideas you can apply to your context, with the occasional conversations with a real marketer.
